Because Kick 4 College features a fast-paced, continuous 10 point must system, our rings require the most disciplined and knowledgeable officials in the martial arts community. We recruit, train, and pay our officials to maintain the highest competitive integrity in sport karate.
If you are a certified Black Belt dedicated to fair play, safety, and athlete development, we want you on our mat crew.
Ringside Staff Requirements (Per Ring)
To run a single Continuous Point Sparring mat safely and transparently, each of our 8 rings utilizes a dedicated 4-person crew:
1 Center Referee
Runs the ring, monitors athlete safety, enforces boundary lines, and strictly watches for illegal force or groin strikes.
3 Ringside Judges (Must Be Black Belts)
Stationed at the table to score each 2-minute round as a whole using the 10 point must system.
1 Dedicated Kick Tracker
Sits at the head table to operate the visible scoreboard clickers, ensuring athletes hit their mandatory 15-kick quota.
Official League Compensation
Ringside Judges (Black Belts Only)
Guaranteed $100 cash per day stipend + complimentary tournament shirt and lunch.
Center Referees & Trackers
Premium day-rate stipends scaled based on credentials and position.
